Guardrail Inspection

Collective protection equipment such as guardrails are covered under the Working At Height Regulations. The WAHR 2005 requires duty holders to ensure equipment is inspected. We provide the following inspections.

• PCGS which are freestanding guardrails systems that rely on weights to hold them in place

• Fixed guardrails, whether fixed to walls or roofs

• Balustrades

• Handrails

• Barriers

• Other collective equipment such as fall protection panels

KSE can help you, the duty holder to comply with these regulations. We are classed as competent persons in the inspection of collective fall protection equipment. The recommended inspection frequency for this type of equipment is 12 months but KSE can advise you if this is appropriate to your site. Our directly-employed and fully trained engineers have extensive expertise in carrying out guardrail testing, handrail load testing, and inspections of collective protection systems to ensure maximum safety for your staff and contractors.
